**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist Boring Mill Operators with day-to-day tasks
- Prepare and set up machinery and materials for operation
- Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of machinery
- Load and unload materials and components as needed
- Ensure work areas are clean and organized
- Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times
- Learn and understand machine operations and processes
- Participate in training programs to develop skills towards becoming a Boring Mill Operator
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Other duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in machining
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent work ethic and reliability
- Team-oriented with good communication skills
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges

**Technical Skills**
- Knowledge of how to operate various manufacturing machines and tools safely and efficiently.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operations.
- Understanding of quality standards and ability to inspect products for defects and ensure they meet specifications.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Skills in handling raw materials and finished products, including loading, unloading, and storage.
- Basic skills in welding, soldering, and metal fabrication can be advantageous.

**Physical Abilities**
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks without fatigue.
- Precision in manual tasks and operating machinery.
- Good hand and finger movement for manipulating small parts and tools.

**Soft Skills**
- Attention to detail, precise in following instructions and performing tasks to ensure high-quality output.
- Ability to work well with others, communicate effectively, and collaborate on tasks and projects.
- Efficient in managing time and prioritizing tasks to meet production deadlines.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the manufacturing process.
- Flexibility to adjust to new methods, tools, and changes in the production environment.
- Consistent attendance, punctuality, and dependability in completing assigned tasks.

**Additional Skills**
- Basic computer skills for operating computer-controlled machinery and using software for inventory and production tracking.
- Certification and experience in operating forklifts for material transport within the shop.
- Ability to perform basic calculations necessary for measuring materials etc
