**Key Responsibilities**:
**Customer Experience**:
- Deliver exceptional, personalized service to each customer that walks through our doors.
- Assist customers by providing expert advice, education, and recommendations about our wine and spirits selection.
- Help manage courier and local delivery tickets efficiently.
**Retail Floor**:
- Greet and engage with every customer, making them feel welcome from the moment they enter.
- Guide customers to products and ensure they have a tailored shopping experience.
- Generate sales by educating and suggesting products that suit customer needs and preferences.
- Contribute to inventory counts and help lead retail floor tasks, including delegating responsibilities and coaching team members.
- Showcase your creativity by building attractive, compelling product displays that enhance the shopping experience and draw customer interest.
- Help foster a store culture that makes Craft Cellars an inviting place to work and shop.
**Sales & Inventory**:
- Maintain optimal inventory levels in the wine and spirits section.
- Keep up with local market trends to offer customers exciting product suggestions and insights.
- Collaborate with the Managing Partner to manage wine category stock, ensuring selections stay fresh and current.
- Assist with merchandising, handling products carefully to minimize damages, markdowns, and substitutions.
**Online Orders**:
- Process online orders for shipping, in-store pickups, and local deliveries efficiently.
**Wine Category & Events**:
- Identify opportunities for promotional displays, featured products, and blowout deals.
- Build and nurture relationships with agencies, distributors, and partners.
- Partner with the Marketing Manager to coordinate in-store tasting events and wine sampling sessions that align with market trends.
**Skills & Qualifications**:
- **Experience**:
- 1+ year of customer service experience (preferably in a retail or liquor industry).
- Retail management or supervisory experience is a plus.
- Prior wine or liquor-related experience is highly valued.
- A flair for designing and executing creative, visually appealing floor displays.
- **Education**:
- WSET Level 2 or higher certification (preferred).
- ProServe certification is an asset.
- **Job Requirements**:
- Able to work a flexible retail schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Capable of safely lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods.
