DESCRIPTION:
Key Responsibilities Include:

- Directly supervise the activities of approximately 3-15 warehouse employees in accordance with established standard operating procedures (SOPs) to meet scheduled requirements
- Coordinate and ensure cycle count intervals are maintained as assigned and ensure continuous inventory accuracy through routine reconciliation of sub-inventories. Investigate inventory discrepancies and make adjustments as approved
- Participate in month end inventory count and reconciliation process
- Rotate stock and manage space within warehouse to accommodate product as required
- Monitor shipping and receiving schedules and carrier appointment times and ensure work is performed in accordance. Inform appropriate parties of issues as required
- Complete RMA’s for product returns
- Perform regular product inspections and audits of warehouse handling practices
- Monitor inventory and order fill / backorder requirements to identify product shortages or other issues, follow up to resolve
- Work with managers and peers to recommend changes to and implement regional warehouse processes and procedures
- Report and arrange equipment maintenance for forklift and other equipment and follow up to verify
- Work closely with relevant departments to ensure that internal and external customers are being adequately serviced
- Ensure a safe and healthy workplace and identify and correct unsafe practices. Work with Health and Safety to establish and implement new or revised processes, as necessary; lead the incident investigation process for injuries, near misses and property damage
- Supervise activities of hourly employees to verify compliance with Food Safety and quality requirements
- Understand and manage employees within company policies, including collective agreements
- Create work schedules for warehouse employees; monitor and validate employee swipe records in timekeeping system
- Track and monitor employee attendance issues and maintain attendance database
- Provide performance management for direct reports, including developing strategies to manage absence and discipline, working collaboratively with human resources as necessary; track and monitor departmental/employee metrics in support of same
- Ensure KPOs for team are aligned with departmental and brewery goals; provide regular feedback and performance assessment and take action to address performance gaps
- Identify training needs for team and work with HR and the management team to ensure appropriate training is delivered and the effectiveness is measured
- Participate and assist with creating a culture of continuous improvement focused on health and safety, quality, efficiency, customer service and cost

Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of warehousing, shipping/receiving, or transportation experience in a unionized environment with at least 1 year of supervisory experience
- Forklift knowledge an asset
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to create reports and deliver presentations
- Demonstrated skills in facilitation, employee engagement, attendance and performance management, and safety enhancement
- Ability to prioritize and balance between short and long term plans within a fast-paced environment
- Computer skills with ability to use software such as Microsoft Office; knowledge of warehouse management systems with RF capability considered an asset. Working knowledge of occupation health and safety and other related legislation/regulations
- Acceptable criminal record check
- Ability to demonstrate behaviours that support organizational values
