**Salary Range**: $68,985.25 to $80,341.32

We are currently seeking a permanent full-time Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Accessibility (EDIA) Strategist to join our team

The EDIA Strategist will report to the Director, People and Culture, serving as a champion, strategic partner and thought leader to advance EDIA within CMHA Peel Dufferin.

This position is based out of our 601-7700 Hurontario Street office in Brampton, working 37.5 hours a week. CMHA Peel Dufferin has adapted to a hybrid working model including a mix of on-site and remote work. Staff are required to have onsite presence 2-3 times, or more if needed, to meet client and/or program needs.

**What you will do**
- Develop and execute a comprehensive EDI and accessibility strategy aligned with CMHA Peel Dufferin’s mission, vision, and values, driving an inclusive and equitable organizational culture. - contribute to strategic
- Provide consultation and strategic guidance and advice, including resources and tools, to senior leadership, management, and staff and CMHA branches to promote equity-based practices for community mental health and health equity.
- Ensure impactful EDI training programs are created for employees and managers, enhancing awareness, understanding, and skills to promote inclusivity and cultural competence.
- Coordinate accessibility initiatives to ensure the organization meets all legislated requirements related to the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, including statutory reporting to the province, as well as to facilitate improved access for staff, clients and community members with disabilities.
- Develop evaluation tools to measure and monitor the effectiveness of EDI initiatives. Leverage data to drive insights for leadership team.
- Ensure Health Equity and Anti-Black Racism workplans are fully reflective of and inspired by an equity lens and reflect CMHA Peel Dufferin’s diverse client base.
- Develop communication systems to share best practices, and keep staff apprised of key initiatives and activities.
- Support People and Culture initiatives in improving diversity and inclusion in areas such as: recruitment strategy, performance management system, leadership development, employee engagement and retention, succession planning, etc.
- Lead the development and review of policies and practices that foster equity, diversity, and inclusion, while ensuring best practices.
- Support the work of the Health Equity committee by assisting in planning organizational equity, diversity and inclusion meetings, undertaking research, carrying out assigned tasks on behalf of the teams, advising on matters that might be brought to the teams, representing the teams at other planning tables as assigned, etc.
- Represent CMHA Peel Dufferin in the healthcare and community sector by leading and participating in external committees, special projects, task forces, and working groups, contributing to sector-wide initiatives and collaborations.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends, research, and best practices in EDI, cultural competence, and accessibility leveraging insights to continually enhance and advance CMHA Peel Dufferin's culture and EDIA initiatives.
