Key Responsibilities

Operational:

- Oversee daily cafe operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the cafe area.

Customer Service:

- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any customer issues promptly.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regular customers.
- Ensure the cafe ambiance is welcoming and comfortable for all patrons.
- Handle customer feedback and work towards continuous improvement of services.
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all gym members and visitors.

Staff Management:

- Recruit, train, and supervise cafe staff, ensuring high performance and motivation.
- Create staff schedules to ensure efficient operation of the cafe.
- Train and supervise cafe staff, scheduling shifts, and maintaining a positive work environment.

Inventory and Supply Management:

- Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper stock levels are maintained.
- Coordinate with suppliers and negotiate contracts to ensure the best pricing.
- Monitor and minimize waste to maximize profitability.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and manage inventory records.
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers.

Gym Management Support:

- Assist in organizing and managing gym events, competitions, and special programs.
- Support the general management team with administrative tasks and operational duties.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the gym and cafe.
- Contribute to the overall growth and success of Climber's Rock by supporting various management initiatives.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience in a managerial role, preferably in a cafe, restaurant, or customer service environment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
- Experience in inventory management and supplier relations.
- Knowledge of the climbing industry and a passion for climbing is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

How to Apply

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week

Licence/Certification:

- Food Handler Certification (required)
