Total Rescue, a division of the Total Group of Companies, is an industrial service company specializing in fire, rescue, medical, and safety services. We are based out of Red Deer, but we service all of AB, BC, SK, and ONT.

Total Safety is actively seeking **local** **Safety Advisors for a construction project in Regina, to start in the next week. Project terms are as follows:

- Seasonal contract position
- Extimated 6-month duration
- 7 days per week, 12 hour days (6 am - 6 pm)

Under the direct supervision of the Project Manager, daily task and activities include but are not limited to:

- Providing support and ensuring site personnel work in a safe manner and comply with OHS requirements
- Set up, inspect, and maintain safety equipment and PPE
- Conduct hazard identification, assessment, and control
- Ensure timely reporting of all hazards, near misses, accidents, incidents, injuries, and illnesses
- Intervene in unsafe acts and unsafe conditions, using stop work authority as required
- Deliver / instruct safety training programs such as site orientations, PPE use, Confined Space Awareness, etc.
- Perform confined space monitoring and rescue (including gas detection) support
- Provide rescue support
- Perform site cleanup duties
- Detail oriented
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to follow directions
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Safety driven
- Positive attitude

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

- Authorized to work in Canada and possess a valid SIN
- Be 19 years of age or older
- Have a valid drivers licence with a minimum of 3 years, claims free driving experience
- Be able to produce a satisfactory driving abstract
- Be physically fit with the ability to lift 50-75 lbs
- Be willing and able to travel out of town
- Be willing and able to work outdoor, in varying weather conditions
- Be able to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing
- Have previous experience in a similar role
- Have a strong knowledge of the OH&S Act, Regulation, and Code
- Have a working knowledge of specialized PPE including personal gas monitors, fall protection, and respirators

To be selected for this role, you **MUST **have the following certifications:

- Safety Designation (NCSO / OH&S Degree / CRSP)
- First Aid
- Other certifications to be discussed as new project requirements arise
