Job Summary

**General Accountability**:

**Primary Purpose of Position**:
The Project Scheduler will implement and oversee project schedules. This person will collaborate with project managers, coordinate tasks, and monitors the execution of project timelines.

**Key Responsibilities**:
This includes but are not limited to:

- Analyze construction schedules and recommend work-arounds and schedule improvement ideas; consulting with project managers and technical experts to set up assignments, tasks, and subtasks.
- Assists project management to create and monitor short term schedules and determine the impact on the master schedule.
- Ensures all scheduling policies, procedures and standards are adhered to. Complete schedule audits with project teams.
- Understand contract obligations as they relate to the project schedule and project milestones and define and communicate the drivers and interfaces with third parties that may affect such milestones in the schedule basis narrative.
- Monitor and reports on progress of work and any problems that affect the planned schedule.
- Assisting with identifying out-of-scope work items and creating change order requests to be presented to client.
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective scheduling management system.
- Coordinating project timelines with internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Identifying potential project schedule delays and facilitating intervention in a timely manner.
- Evaluating performance and preparing project progress reports.
- Accommodating updates and changes to project schedules.
- Recommending actions to keep projects within budget and completed on time.
- Keeping stakeholders informed of project timelines and deadlines.
- Documenting project scheduling processes and maintaining records.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- 1- 2 years of Planning / Scheduling experience in the required field.
- Equivalent to completion of a diploma training program at a college or technical school; degree in Engineering or Construction Management is preferred, Technology Diploma or Journeyperson certificate.
- Thorough understanding of construction execution strategy.
- Experience using Microsoft Project.
- Experience developing/maintaining resource loaded schedules.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Superior organizational and planning abilities.

Schedule: This role will primarily be stationed in the Saskatoon Office.

40 hours per week while in Saskatoon office;
Must possess a valid Class 5 drivers’ license.
