**Responsibilities**:
- Understand the PPS strategy on a corporate and regional level to be implemented and maintained at their location.
- Drive lean training and implement a lean toolkit utilizing PDCA; value stream mapping; quick changeovers; Kaizen, problem solving, 5S, etc. Accountable for training targets.
- Develop OPC (Overall Plant Concept - VSM, VSD, Gap Analysis, Layout Development/Planning, Improvement Projects, and Implementation Roadmap including CAPEX planning).
- Implements LEAN thinking based on value streams and shop floor management - deploys PPS in the plant.
- Improves value streams with value stream design - tracks OEE of workstations.
- Exchanges best practices with other plants as well as participates on regional PPS exchanges.
- Defines and implements standards that follow the Palfinger guidelines.
- Subject Matter Expert/Owner/accountable for maintaining Plant Savings Tracker projects.
- Subject Matter Expert/Owner/accountable for maintaining/reporting the Plant PPS Scorecard.
- Subject Matter Expert/Owner/accountable for implementing/maintaining 5S and TPM.
- Accountable for plant’s IE master data quality.
- Establishes shop floor management - meeting structures and KPI tracking adhering to standards.
- Conducts improvement workshops/Kaizen events. Provides support for production, manufacturing, and warehouse areas for Cl activities, kaizen events, training, audits, etc.
- Work instructions - provide work instructions (WI) for assembly and manufacturing, modify or create work instructions for any safety or quality issues that are identified.
- Root Cause Analysis and corrective action
- assist quality department and production manager in root cause investigations and corrective action plans.
- Determine the appropriate tools and methodologies and timing of improvement activity to achieve operations objectives.
- Support, track, assess, and report progress on the implementation and use of Lean and Six Sigma principles across all divisional sites. Develop and maintain detailed process maps, metrics, and control plans for key manufacturing processes.
- Foster a continuous improvement culture assuring buy-in and ownership at all levels of the organization. Train and mentor divisional talent on continuous improvement tools and techniques to build local capability and ensure sustainability.
- Facilitate Goal Deployment Planning across the business.
- Other duties and roles as assigned by Manager.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering (or similar field) or equivalent work experience of at least 5 years required.
- Hands on experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
- Project Management experience.
- Microsoft office (Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Word) suite proficiency - high.
- Experience with PowerBI.
- SAP experience.
- VisTable, AutoCAD or similar 2D/3D modeling software.
- Ability to work with all levels of employees to include difficult personalities and the ability to always remain calm and professional in tense or adverse situations.
- Excellent communication skills both technical writing skills with well-spoken English is a requirement.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence without authority.
- Ability to travel domestic 10% of the time.
