Looking for rewarding summer job? United for Literacy is hiring a **Camp Counsellor** to plan and deliver summer programming for children ages 5-12 in Pictou Landing First Nation.
**Term**:8-week summer internship
**Employment Start Date**:as early asJuly 4, 2023
**Hourly wage**:$15.65
**Hours of Work**: 35 hours/week
The Camp Counsellor will work with a team of summer staff to plan programming activities, and work in-person alongside community staff to deliver programming. The summer camp programming is designed to help children have fun while learning during the summer months and to help them return to school ready and confident to succeed in September. Activities will include learning opportunities for children around reading, writing, STEM, physical activity, and culture.
The Camp Counsellor will assist with designing, planning, organizing, delivering, and evaluating the summer camp programming. Applicants must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of employment, and must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or have been granted refugee status in Canada.

Contract length: 8 weeks
