**Position: PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN (4 MONTH CO-OP) DAY**

**Reporting to**:Production Manager

**Hours Worked per Week**:40 hours

**Status/Shift**:Office / Monday to Friday

**Salary**:TBA

- The Production Technician will assist in various production functions as directed by the Production Manager.

**EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS**
- Co-op or recent graduate from post-secondary degree in a business / administrative program
- Demonstrated competence with office equipment as well as the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with a strong customer-centric approach
- Ability to extract key information and deliverables through analysis and review of production data
- Display initiative and sound professional judgment and integrity
- A self-starter and team-player with the ability to handle multiple job responsibilities, set priorities, problem solve and work with all levels of staff while appreciating the responsibility of meeting tight and conflicting deadlines

**KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITES**
- Assist production, verifying and matching documents, coding and recording information, reconciling documents
- Study new machinery and facilities and recommend or select efficient combinations
- Develop flexible or integrated manufacturing systems and procedures
- Conduct studies and implement programs to determine optimum inventory levels for production and to allow optimum utilization of machinery, materials and resources
- Analyze costs of production
- Design, develop and conduct time studies and work simplification programs
- Determine human resource and skill requirements and develop training program
- Photocopy, scan and file documents.
- Respond to inquiries from supervisors and other staff as required.
- Prepare spread sheets / assist in generation of reports relating to the various production requirements as required.
- Communicate with plant supervisors and employees to gather information to compose various reports
- Other related tasks.

**TASK ANALYSIS PROJECTS**
- Task Analysis will be assigned on project basis; observe/troubleshoot inside the plant
- Report root cause, alternative solution and recommendation on the tasks assigned

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 4 months
