**Responsibilities**:
**Essential Duties**:
Standard Operating Procedures
- Create, disseminate, audit for SOP compliance.
- Review annually to ensure alignment with updated legislation.
- Be the gatekeeper of all SOP’s, ensuring it is retained in an easily accessible location for all associates.

Communications and Events
- Provide content for blogs, marketing materials, industry publications.
- Create company communications for items such as legislative changes, CMRAO/CAO changes, Emergency Preparedness, code changes, etc.
- Be the Subject Matter Expert supporting managers’ inquiries as they pertain to legislation.
- Partner with our training and onboarding teams to help ensure all new hires are aware of compliance and governance responsibilities and location of resources.
- Plan, and lead managers meetings (bi-monthly) or town halls (semi-monthly) with a focus on education of new and existing legislation and the impact to the associate’s role.
- Prepare and disseminate documents as required for associate education and review.
- Plan and act as a key liaison for industry events and conferences.

Compliance
- Ensure FirstService Ontario is an industry leader by conducting a thorough gap analysis of current legislative compliance. Clearly identify current gaps and lead initiatives to drive organization compliance and execution. As required, develop and lead long-term plans for compliance.
- Work closely with operations team on governance/compliance issues at the properties.
- Liaison with Corporate Risk team on any CMRAO issues and/or legal issues
- Act as the key liaison for any ACMO 2000 / CMRAO investigations or activities.
- Ensure all locations are trained on and have an Emergency Preparedness and Fire Safety Pans readily available and up to date.
- Partner with the Human Resources team to ensure our teams are trained, have the appropriate equipment, and documentation pertaining to the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Licensing
- Support as required the annual license renewal process for all associates and the organization.
- Lead internal efforts for the acquisition of CPE points for learning events. Ensure proper tracking and information is provided to associates to be able to obtain annual requirements.
- Conduct audits on our Limited and General Licensee holders to ensure they are following all requirements as per the CMRAO.

**Additional Duties**:

- Update Business Information Sheets/information for Connect
- Review different policies within the GTA that affect the sites (Toronto, Mississauga, Barrie etc) bring consolidated information and present to RD team.

***Education & Experience**:

- Minimum of 5 years industry experience
- Must have a General License
- Exceptional written and oral communications skills
- Post secondary education required.
- Experience in policy development, training and legislative compliance strongly preferred.

**Knowledge, Skills & Proficiencies**:
Must be well versed in computer skills and research ability.

***Travel**:
Regular travel throughout the GTA and to both the Crossbridge and FirstService offices will be required.
