**Here’s the opportunity: Data & Insights Specialist**

Futurpreneur is looking for an experienced **Data & Insights Specialist **to analyze a broad array of client and market data to glean valuable insights, with a particular focus on the broader impact of Futurpreneur in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, and how to improve Futurpreneur’s outreach, operations, and entrepreneur support programs. This role focuses on understanding the competitive landscape, providing insights to support partnerships, and aiding in providing key insights to various stakeholders.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the incumbent will work closely with many internal teams and senior leaders to present information using data visualization techniques for operating and reporting purposes, both internally and externally with our partners. The incumbent will also work very closely with the Data & Insights Specialist, Client Experience and provide support as required.

This is a **permanent, full-time position located ideally in Toronto, ON. The incumbent will be working in our hybrid work model (minimum 2 days in the office).**

**What you will do**:
**Research, Planning and Execution**
- Collaborate with senior leadership and various teams such as Business Development, Client Service, Client Experience, Programs & Partnerships, Finance, and Marketing & Communications to identify research needs and opportunities that support strategic objectives
- Lead the end-to-end process of designing and executing data research projects, including competitive analysis and ecosystem impact assessments, encompassing data collection, thorough analysis, and comprehensive reporting. Utilize these insights to inform strategic decisions and strengthen Futurpreneur’s position within the entrepreneurial ecosystem
- Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and successful completion of data projects
- Stay up to date with industry trends, policy changes, and best practices in data research and analysis within the entrepreneurial ecosystem
- Conduct research comparing Futurpreneur’s overall performance and impact against industry standards and best practices
- Stay updated on industry trends, policy changes, and economic indicators that could affect Futurpreneur and its stakeholders
- Produce actionable insights and recommendations based on research findings

**Data Collection**
- Identify valuable data sources for competitive intelligence and enhance/automate the data collection processes
- Collect and gather data from various sources, including Futurpreneur's CRM database and Loans system, industry reports, Statistics Canada, publicly available government sources, websites, surveys, and other relevant repositories, using appropriate tools and methods such as web scraping, SQL queries, and API integrations
- Build and maintain relationships with external data providers and vendors to ensure the timely and accurate acquisition of relevant data for analysis and visualization purposes

**Data Analysis**
- Develop and implement data models to represent complex datasets and business processes, facilitating data analysis, visualization, and decision-making
- Analyze and interpret data to identify trends, insights, and opportunities within the competitive landscape and broader ecosystem
- Present research findings to senior management in a clear and concise manner, using data visualization techniques (such as charts, graphs, and interactive dashboards using Power BI, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Dynamics CRM, while exploring new tools like Tableau, Googlecharts, Infogram) to effectively communicate complex data insights to stakeholders and decision-makers
