**Summary of Position**:
This position requires a deep understanding for commercial and residential design. The Millwork Detailer will work closely with the Designer & Production team to produce quality drawings that are engineered for production.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for millwork components
- Prepare layout and assembly drawings including engineering shop drawings in conformity with the designer’s requirements.
- Works closely with the Designer and Production Manager.
- Reviews and analyzes specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting kitchen cabinet component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed.
- Provide instructions and comments within drawings.
- Modifies and revises designs to correct deficiencies or to reduce production problems.
- Maintain organization and planning to meet scheduled deadlines.
- Adapt company standards to drawings and details.
- Use specifications provided by suppliers to ensure drawing is accurate to appliances and hardware.
- Create new and innovative methods to improve the quality of company’s drawings and the drawing process.
- Perform such other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the directors
- Programming CNC machines to produce cabinet components
- Drafting drawings for build and install
- Reviewing all programming for accuracy before cut
- Kick-off meeting with cabinetmakers and assemblers prior to build
- Constant interaction between Programmer and Operator
- Providing sheet take-offs
- Following provided production schedules and working with supplied documentation to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of materials to and from the machining center
- Communicate internally with various departments on project timelines
- Procurement of material and specialty hardware
- Supervise CNC machines during production and make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality and consistency.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose common CNC problems, consulting with manufacturer as necessary
- Provide guidance and direction to CNC Operator on Maintenance of CNC equipment to ensure safe and efficient long-term performance.

Skills required:

- CAD experience is necessary
- Microvellum and/or Sketchup experience

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

**Experience**:

- detailing: 5 years (required)

Work Location: In person

Expected start date: 2023-12-01
