Serenity Respite is seeking Respite Workers in Beaumont, Leduc, and Area for our growing organization.

As a Respite Worker you will enjoy working a flexible schedule in a rewarding position. We provide options of group, in-home, or community-based services in a child focused, family centered, supportive environment to meet the needs of children with disabilities.

Our Respite Workers are dedicated to our families and committed to developing new skills and interested in making a difference in the lives of families in our community

As a Respite Worker you will provide support in activities of daily, providing learning opportunities and behavioural support with the child’s participation in events and activities, as well as help the child explore new passions and improve the family’s quality of life.

Respite Workers can work in the family’s home, out in the community, or in our centre.

**Skills**:∙ Ability to provide care and supervision according to the care plan which meets the individual child’s needs at a private home, community and/or centre.

∙ Ability to provide support with activities of daily living such as toileting, diapering, dressing and feeding children of all ages.

∙ Ability to provide learning opportunities and behavioural support.

∙ Applicants will be flexible and responsive and should have experience working with or caring for children.

∙ Experience with behavior management strategies and experience working with disabilities/ special needs is a definite asset.

∙ Applicants must have a criminal record check with vulnerable sector, a child intervention check First Aid & Level-C CPR.

∙ It is preferred applicants have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation and willing to obtain 2 million dollars liability insurance if transporting children

**Qualifications**:
∙ Up to date First Aid & Level-C CPR or willingness to obtain

∙ Prefer a drivers license and person vehicle

∙ Applicants must have provide a criminal record check with vulnerable sector check and an Intervention Check

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
