Employees of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia (Assembly) provide professional non-partisan services to support the democratic institution of Parliament and its members through procedural advice, administrative support and information services. The Assembly is an autonomous employer, separate from the administrative framework of B.C. government ministries and agencies.

The Legislative Library is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual for the auxiliary full-time position of Librarian.

Reporting to the Technical Services and Systems Manager, the Librarian supports the information and research needs of Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLA), caucus staff, Assembly staff, statutory offices, provincial government researchers and members of the public. The Librarian designs, develops and delivers library products, collections and services, and provides advice in the areas of reference, technical services and systems.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

Applicants must have:

- A Masters of Library Science or an equivalent program from an American Library Association-accredited institution, or equivalent international degree.
