**Role Overview**
Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, the Business Partner engages closely with the front-line people leaders and employees of assigned business groups deploying a multitude of people programs which are defined under the People & Culture five pillars (_Compliance, Workplace Culture, Human Capital, Building Talent Capacity, Change Management). _The role creates value for the business through the potential of AEM’s talented people.
**Success Factors**
- Related post-secondary education in business, human resources management, or communications. Current designation or working towards professional CPHR is considered an asset.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant human resources advising experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 2 years of experience managing information in a human resources information system (ADP is desired).
- Experience performing full cycle recruitment and on-boarding using an Applicant Tracking System is preferred.
- Knowledge of BC Provincial labor legislation and regulations.
- Experience coaching and providing counsel to others is required with solid expertise in employee relations.
- Advanced detail orientation, time management, communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment and promote effective change management for the organization.

**_ Controlled Goods Requirement_**
Please note that AEM is a proud holder of the Controlled Goods designation. This program allows AEM to work directly with Controlled Goods, which are defined as “components and technical data that have military or national security significance, which are controlled domestically by the Government of Canada and defined in the Defence Production Act” (Government of Canada).
As a Controlled Goods organization, all AEM employees must be eligible for controlled goods designation status. Thus, submission to the following checks is a condition of employment: Background Check, Criminal Record Check, Character References. A credit check may be required in some cases.
