What You’ll Be Doing

As an Associate/Manager, Portfolio Management you will assist senior management in the monitoring and management of the entire Real Estate Finance Division portfolio and business. You will manage the production and monitoring of monthly and quarterly financial and non-financial reporting, act as the business’s liaison to Risk Management and Finance, and lead special projects and cross-functional initiatives. In this role you will benefit from interaction with various groups within CIBC and exposure to senior executives within Commercial Banking and Risk Management.

How You’ll Succeed- On-going reporting - Portfolio-wide management and tracking of credit expiries, credit irregularly, credit exceptions, portfolio trend analysis, and monthly / quarterly financial performance. You will conduct analysis and investigations to find and interpret irregularities and trends in data and provide management with key takeaways and recommendations.- Portfolio Reviews - Regular and ad-hoc reviews of credit quality and risk in the entire portfolio and specific real estate asset classes to proactively identity and manage specific and sectoral credit risks.- Special Projects and Transformation - Lead special projects within REFD and represent the business in Bank-wide transformation initiatives. You will use your experience with managing complex and strategic projects and initiatives, build working relationships as well as resolve conflicts with all levels of the organization, internal and external stakeholders, within a team environment.

Who You Are- You have a Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Math, Data Analytics, or related fields.- You're motivated by collective success. You have the ability to work well within a group setting and across functions.- You can demonstrate experience with financial statements and accounting principles in order to assess financial performance and trends. You're also very strong with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.- You act like an owner. You are able to manage multiple projects/tasks and competing priorities.- You’re goal oriented. You are motivated by accomplishing your goals and delivering your best to make an impact.- Values matter to you.
