- The Staff Support Consultant is responsible for a first-tier response to provide confidential, individual support to colleagues who are in emotional distress, and to provide group support to teams exposed to distressing and/or traumatic events. The Consultant will also help develop and advance strategic organizational wellness initiatives to support staff, physicians and learners at LHSC. This includes providing education and training related to psychological health and safety, psychological first aid interventions and addressing occupational stress injuries to advance both personal and organizational resiliency and advance a culture of well-being.**Regular Full-Time**

**Rate of Pay**: $52.16 per hour - $65.20 per hour

**Hours of Work**:37.5 hours per week

**Qualifications**:

- Successful completion of a bachelor's degree in social services, Health Services, Psychology, or Social Work
- Master's degree preferred
- ASIST Training, Psychological or Mental Health First Aid, Critical Incident Debriefing preferred
- Member of regulated health profession preferred
- 3 years recent related experience
- Demonstrated experience in assisting individuals in crisis
- Ability to complete suicidal risk screening and support
- Demonstrated advanced skills in group debriefing and group facilitation
- Ability to take initiatives and be self-directed with general operations of the Wellness department
- Demonstrated proficient knowledge in field of occupational health and safety
- Demonstrated proficient project management experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning techniques
- Demonstrated proficient knowledge of hospital policies, collective agreements, sick leave/benefit plans
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC's Vision, Purpose, and Values
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis**Teaching, Learning and Research**
