Reporting to the Manager of Business Intelligence, the Data Governance Analyst is responsible for developing and implementing plans, processes, and practices that operationalize the college’s Information Governance Framework including the college’s data management policies, procedures, and standards.

**HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE**:

- Design, implement, and maintain complex data management solutions that assess the quality of data from multiple sources.
- Design, implement, and maintain data access procedures that support the secure sharing of data.
- Carry out complex data quality checking and develops remediation plans.
- Ensure appropriate storage of data in line with relevant policies and legislation
- Build in security, compliance, scalability, efficiency, reliability, fidelity, flexibility and portability into every solution.
- Manage the data catalog including meta data and data lineage.
- Manage and configure workflows in the data catalog to optimize self-service data discoverability and accessibility.
- Configure and manage the data quality tool for profiling, measuring, and monitoring of data quality
- Collaborate with information system owners on the development of data quality remediation plans.
- Provides expert advice and guidance to enable the organization to get maximum value from its data assets.
- Develop and provide governance training programs for employees

**WHAT YOU BRING**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computing Science or Management Information Systems preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) certificate or Data Management Capability Assessment Model (DCAM) Certificate.
- Enrolment in, or completion of the aforementioned certificates, at the point of onboarding, is required.
- Incumbents who upon commencement of their employment in the classification, do not possess the CDMP or DCAM Certificate, will be require to complete the qualification, or an equivalent, within two years.
- 5 years of experience with database technologies (MSSQL, SSIS).
- 5 years of experience with ETL.
- 2 years of experience with the design, development and maintenance of enterprise level data warehousing and ETL scripts on MS SQL Server.

**SALARY**:$79,436 - $99,264 reflective upon what you bring AKA your education and experience. This is a full-time permanent** **position with immediate access to our great pension and benefit programs.
