**Position Summary**
We are looking for a skilled **Flexible Plastic Film Operator** to join our production team. This position is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting flexible plastic film extrusion and/or conversion machinery, ensuring high standards in quality and efficiency.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Machine Operation**: Set up and operate plastic film extrusion and/or conversion equipment according to established procedures.
- **Production Quality**: Monitor and inspect product output for quality, making adjustments to equipment as necessary to maintain standards.
- **Troubleshooting**: Identify and resolve issues with equipment to minimize downtime and meet production schedules.
- **Maintenance**: Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- **Documentation**: Accurately complete production reports, log entries, and quality control checklists.
- **Safety Compliance**: Follow all safety protocols and participate in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
**Requirements**:
- **Experience**: Minimum of 2 years operating flexible plastic film extrusion, lamination, or conversion machinery in a manufacturing setting.
- **Physical Ability**: Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, and performing repetitive tasks.
- **Quality Focused**: Attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality production standards and accuracy.
- **Problem Solving**: Strong troubleshooting and critical-thinking skills for diagnosing and resolving machine issues promptly.
- **Safety Awareness**: Knowledge of and commitment to safety standards in a manufacturing environment, including lockout/tagout procedures.
- **Team Player**: Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
- **Communication Skills**: Basic reading, writing, and math skills to document production records and understand machine settings.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- **Forklift Certification**: Previous forklift training or certification is a plus.
- **Bilingual**: Ability to communicate effectively in English and another language is an asset.
- **Adaptability**: Experience working in fast-paced production environments, with a focus on flexibility and efficiency.
