We are currently seeking a dynamic **IT Infrastructure Technician **for a full-time & permanent role for our client who is a privately-owned investment management firm.

**Hybrid position**

**Overview**: As an IT Infrastructure Technician within our client’s IT Infrastructure and Technical Support team, you will be crucial in managing and ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and security of the firm's IT assets. This role involves providing first and second-level technical support and acting as the primary IT presence in their Guelph office. The position is based in Guelph, Ontario, with bi-weekly visits to the Toronto office. Additional travel to Montreal and Regina may be required for special projects. You will report directly to the Team Leader - IT Infrastructure.

**What you’ll need**:

- You have a college diploma in computer science or in a related field;
- You have 1-3 years of relevant experience providing IT technical support;
- You have 1-2 years of experience as a System Administrator.
- You have a high-level of proficiency with Windows 10;
- You have an in-depth knowledge of Windows Server environments, Microsoft Azure, Office 365, and basic network systems;
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and bring projects from initiation to completion.
- Recognized ability to deliver high-quality technical support with strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills. English is required; French is a plus;
- Interest in developing coding and automation skills, particularly in PowerShell, is a plus;
**What you’ll do**:

- Provide technical support, responding to and resolving issues related to software, workstations, smartphones, and videoconference equipment;
- Assist in the management and monitoring of network performance and availability across multiple sites;
- Support and maintain cloud infrastructure integrations with Microsoft Azure and Office 365;
- Help configure, analyze, and resolve network and server alerts;
- Maintain accurate records of hardware and software inventories and manage updates and configurations across the IT estate;

**Experience**:

- IT technical support: 1 year (mandatory)
- System administrator: 1 year (mandatory)

**Job location**: Hybrid in Guelph and Toronto: You'll be required to work in the Guelph office three days a week and work from home twice a week. Every two weeks, one of those three days will be spent working from the Toronto office.
