Conrad Grebel University College is a liberal arts college founded by the Mennonite church and affiliated with the University of Waterloo. The mission and programs of Grebel are rooted in and inspired by its Christian identity and its Anabaptist/Mennonite heritage. Grebel offers undergraduate, graduate, and community education programs in peace and conflict studies, music, theological and religious studies, and Mennonite studies. It also has a residence which houses approximately 172 university students. Grebel is also home to the Kindred Credit Union Centre for Peace Advancement (CPA).

**The Kindred Credit Union Centre for Peace Advancement**

Established in 2014, the Kindred Credit Union Centre for Peace Advancement (hereafter CPA) aspires to attract peace innovators, and to be a state of the art academic hub that incubates and advances collaborative, inter-disciplinary, multi-sector peacemaking. The CPA’s mission is to advance expansive and innovative understandings and practices of peace locally and globally by catalyzing collaboration among its participants and partners in ways that seek wisdom, nurture faith and serve church and society.

**General Scope**

The objective with the Localizing the SDGs: University-Municipal Collaboration for SDGs Reporting across Canada project is to build on the successful global model of university-municipal collaboration in order to drive a new wave of SDGs localization throughout Canada. This work will focus on the creation of Voluntary Local Reviews in five municipalities across Canada, facilitate a collective impact model for community stakeholders to advance the SDGs with their local government, develop a new set of context-based localized SDGs indicators for municipalities, and a suite of resource sharing through annual gatherings on SDGs localization and learning resources. Funding for the project comes from a government grant.

**Primary Purpose**

The Program Coordinator collaborates on select aspects of the project work, including undertaking research-oriented activities, supporting the development of regular reporting, coordinating and facilitating meetings and webinars with a variety of internal and external partners, maintaining consistent stakeholder communications, sharing updates on program progress and opportunities, and providing administrative and logístical support for events, including meetings, workshops, and conferences.

**Specific Responsibilities**

**Program Development**
- Supporting the design, development, and implementation of the project deliverables;
- Working with the Director to identify trends and program direction;
- Undertaking research-oriented activities, such as collating best practices, developing case studies, and report writing on relevant sustainability issues.
- Supporting the development of regular reporting to track progress, including to internal and external stakeholders and funders, as needed.

**Partnership Building and Collaboration**
- Coordinating, facilitating, and recording (where applicable) meetings and webinars with a variety of internal and external partners;
- Maintaining consistent stakeholder communications, sharing updates on project progress and opportunities to get further involved;
- Occasionally represent the project at invited speaking engagements, events, and conferences in lieu of the Director.

**Communications and Marketing**
- Managing the project’s social media accounts and developing, supporting and promoting digital content (such as event information, poster design, news releases, website updates, and announcements) to increase project reach and visibility.

**Administrative Support**
- Providing administrative and logístical support for events, including meetings, workshops, and conferences;
- Attending team meetings and planning sessions;
- Taking minutes (as needed) of committee meetings and workshops;
- Other relevant duties as assigned.

**Position Requirements**

**Education**
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Knowledge of sustainable development, the Sustainable Development Goals, and/or sustainability approaches in Canadian municipalities an asset.

**Skills/Experience**
- Two to three years experience in project coordination or research.
- A proven track record in partnership development and/or stakeholder engagement.
- Experience in facilitation, convening, organizing and leading workshops, webinars, and/or meetings considered an asset.
- Experience in design of marketing/promotional materials, and event planning an asset.
- Experience working in an educational institution or research organization an asset.

**Knowledge/Skills/Abilities**
- Excellent command of the English language, including writing, speaking and listening. Bilingual in French and English considered an asset.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to see projects through from start to finish.
- Superior organizational abilities and the ability to manage time to effectivel
