Provide technical end-user Macintosh computer support as needed. Installs, configures, and troubleshoots Macintosh systems, servers and network issues that cannot be resolved by Centralized Service Desk (CSD). As issues are escalated from our CSD to the Tier II Macintosh Specialist, he/she resolves end user’s Macintosh computer issues including but are not limited to printing and broadcast systems, troubleshooting and configuration of production and creative systems, installing software and/or hardware peripheral liaise with 3rd party software/hardware vendors for problem resolution and software rollouts, upgrading desktop hardware and software.

Key focus areas include but not limited to creative department, agency print / broadcast studio, and any other Mac systems. Cross-platform (PC / Mac) support capabilities are strongly desired for this position but we are willing to train the right applicant.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:

- The DSL-II Mac analyst is expected to coordinate efforts where standards may need adjustment / revising, or new standards need to be evaluated.
- The analyst will quickly scope out the end-user’s computing environment before working towards resolution. Timely resolution to all end-user computing issues is critical, as the vast majority of users rely on IT systems to generate new/organic business and create client deliverables.
- Resolves end user’s desktop computer issues, issuing/tracking loaner hardware, printer troubleshooting and configuration
- Provides or assists with user administration (adds, changes, deletes, disk space management, backups, and file restores) until some or all of these functions migrate to the helpdesk. Facilitates centralization to helpdesk
- Significant direct interaction with customers, requiring strong interpersonal skills with heavy focus on client relation
- The DSL Level II Mac Specialist is required to respond to after-hours / emergency support requests as needed.
- Performs related duties as assigned or requested.

**EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**:

- BA / BS in Information Systems, Computer Science, and/or 3+years equivalent technical support work experience
- A solid command and knowledge of various Macintosh software and hardware equipment,
- Intermediate to advanced LAN/WAN knowledge
- Ability to analyze and solve semi-routine-to-moderately complex computer related problems is required
- Advanced knowledge of Mac OS X and Classic operating systems as well as experience with and advanced knowledge of creative software including Adobe and Macromedia Suites, Apple Studio Pro, Font Reserve, PitStop Pro is required.
- Solid background with troubleshooting remote access / local network issues is required
- Experience working in a fast paced, demanding desktop support environment for a medium to large company
- Comprehensive understanding of creative workflows including PDF, Xinet Fullpress/WebNative is strongly recommended and experience with Best XF RIP solutions is a plus
- Experience Apple Scripting and Shell Scripting is a plus
