We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Manager to join our team and help to drive the business forward at a time of significant investment and interesting new product/service developments from our parent company Nutreco.

Working closely with the Business Manager you will understand the value proposition of Trouw’s products and services and be able to position these to customers to meet their specific needs and requirements. You will be a key champion of the company’s CRM to ensure it is an integral part of the daily sales process to increase sales effectiveness and enhance the customer experience.

Your experience will demonstrate an ability to build and maintain effective relationships both internally and externally with customers. You will be an innovative thinker and adaptable in your approach.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Ensure our branded products receive maximum store-level exposure through in-store merchandising, product knowledge, and staff training;
- Forecasting for budgets and delivering on objectives.
- Develop and manage territory budgets;
- Utilize data and technology to assist with sales strategy and create action plans;
- Work closely with operations and our distribution partners to insure superior customer service;
- Network within the industry to ensure complete knowledge of industry activities;
- Monitor, track and report on all marketplace trends and activity.

**Qualifications and experience**:

- Post-secondary education in sales or a closely related discipline;
- Minimum of five (5) years sales experience in consumer packaged goods or Pet Food Sales preferred;
- Well-developed (strategic) sales and negotiation skills
- Results-oriented, thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment;
- Strategic competitive mindset
- Experience of leading a Sales team
- Ability to develop positive working relationships with associates and employees;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; French as an asset.
- High level of computer competency - including knowledge of MS Office and CRM systems
- Experience in preparing business
