**Did you know?**
Reporting to the Assistant Director, Supplier Performance, this position performs a range of activities, including but not limited vendor relationship management, risk monitoring, and supplier performance management. As the IT Vendor Management Specialist, you will act as the key liaison between the client, vendor, and other ITS stakeholders for all vendor management related activities. You will analyze, advise, coordinate, and deliver a broad range of vendor management activities in collaboration with the broader Supplier Performance team.

**What you will do**
- Plan and execute vendor management activities including relationship management, risk management and performance management.
- Participate in the planning, design and implementation of process improvements and initiatives to meet evolving business needs
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external counterparts (partners, clients, and suppliers) to support operational objectives.
- Develop vendor management documentation, guidelines, and training materials.
- Provide on-the-job training, coaching, guidance, and support to more junior colleagues.

**What you need to succeed**
You have excellent analytical skills and strong conceptual and strategic orientation. You are a self starter that finds innovative ways to solve complex problems and collaborate with peers. You have strong relationship management skills which allows you to be a change contributor and influence and impact clients.

This position requires hands-on experience with:

- Vendor and contract management policies, processes, and best practices
- Leading strategic initiatives aligning objectives with multiple stakeholders
- Data and metrics gathering and interpretation
- Innovating and developing new approaches to meet complex business objectives

**Nice-to-have**

Experience working with ServiceNow, SAP, SharePoint and/or Microsoft Power BI

**Your education and experience**
The position requires a bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related discipline and five (5) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

**What you need to know**
- Language requirement: English and French essential (bilingual) with a minimum starting level of functional (level 4) in second official language. Training may be provided to help reach the required level of fully functional (level 5) in second official language.
- Priority will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents
- Security level required: Be eligible to obtain Reliability
- There will be no relocation assistance provided

**Remote work / Hybrid Work Model **#LI-Remote**
