SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Work with customers and account teams to ensure product / portfolio alignment to market demands
- Work with broader PLM leadership team to ensure a complete cross portfolio evolution strategy is in place to ensure Ciena meets its corporate goals
- Work with R&D, supply chain and procurement to ensure optimize product / solution costs
- Work with R&D to ensure appropriate feature prioritization / roll out
- Work with sales and customers to ensure appropriate pricing
- Work with Marketing team to ensure that our competitive differentiation is clearly articulated and understood by sales, customers, and the financial community

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

- Minimum BS in engineering (with telecommunications, networking or communications systems concentration) - or equivalent experience
- MBA desired
- 10+ years of relevant industry experience with successful and progressive track record of accomplishment, leadership and increasing responsibility, including at least 5 years of significant product line management (or equivalent) experience.

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

- Strong product background in optical fiber communications
- Proven experience of driving new product introduction into customer accounts
- Proven experience of growing a product business in a competitive environment
- Keen business sense and general management experience to drive lifecycle management of complex products and solutions from concept through retirement with clear focus on strategic and operational goals and objectives.
- Extraordinary communications and presentation skills facing customers and internal stakeholders.
- Strong program and project management skills with meticulous attention to detail in orchestrating efforts across multiple functional disciplines while overseeing and coordinating all constituent elements of product line profit and loss drivers.
- Seasoned interpersonal skills with a proven ability to achieve results through alignment of cross-functional and multi-divisional activities in a highly collaborative, team-oriented, and fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with customers, suppliers, and other functional organizations.
- Up to 35% travel

SOMMAIRE DES RESPONSABILITÉS : Vous serez responsable de déterminer des produits et des activités commerciales pour les produits Ciena sur les produits Converged Packet Optical déterminés en interagissant avec les principaux décideurs, les initiatives/normes de l’industrie et les experts en matière de recherche et développement.

RESPONSABILITÉS:

- Travailler avec les clients et les équipes chargées du compte pour garantir que les produits et le portefeuille correspondent aux demandes du marché.
- Travailler avec l’équipe de direction de la gestion du cycle de vie des produits pour s’assurer qu’une stratégie complète d’évolution du portefeuille est en place afin que Ciena atteigne ses objectifs d’entreprise.
- Travailler avec l’équipe de recherche et développement, de la chaîne d’approvisionnement et de l’approvisionnement afin d’optimiser les coûts des produits et des solutions.
- Travailler avec l’équipe de recherche et développement pour assurer la priorisation et le déploiement de fonctions.
- Travailler avec le service des ventes et les clients pour garantir une tarification appropriée.
- Travailler avec l’équipe marketing pour s’assurer que notre différenciation concurrentielle est clairement exprimée et comprise par l’équipe des ventes, les clients et l’équipe des finances.

FORMATION ET EXPÉRIENCE:

- Baccalauréat en ingénierie (avec une concentration en télécommunication, en réseautage ou en communication) ou l’équivalent.
- MBA souhaitée.
- Plus de 10 ans d’expérience dans un secteur d’activité pertinent avec un parcours réussi et progressif de réalisations, de leadership et de responsabilités croissantes, dont au moins 5 ans d’expérience significative (ou l’équivalent) dans la gestion d’une gamme de produits.

- Solide expérience en matière de produits dans le domaine de la communication par fibre optique.
- Expérience reconnue en matière de lancement de nouveaux produits dans les comptes clients.
