**What you will do**:
Works directly with Senior sales representative for Spine, CMF and Enabling Technology to coordinate daily training, education, in-servicing and surgical case volume coverage, including after-hour call support for end users. The Clinical Educator and Surgical Specialist will assist with product demonstration, refresher training, nursing education and surgery support for all Spine, CMF and Enabling Technology products being utilized within their territory. This will include handling of customer questions as it relates to clinical use and providing detailed information on the logistics and utilization of Stryker instruments and implants. This individual will serve as a contributing member of the local Spine, CMF and Enabling Technologies team, while championing Stryker’s Mission and Values.
- Will assist with on-site training on proper use of Stryker products that are used in surgical cases across multiple hospital sites and specialties
- Educates and informs doctors, nurses, and appropriate operating room staff as to the proper use and maintenance of Stryker Spine, CMF and Enabling Technologies products
- Must be service orientated, a good communicator, professional, possess exceptional understanding of nursing needs and be good with prioritization and time management
- Will assist in the preparation and operation of local educational events, trade shows, and/or educational meetings
- Keeps senior sales representative and sales management informed of surgical volume trends or changes at customer sites with regularity
- Solves product problems for customers in an expeditious fashion
- Must understand and adhere to all operating room and pertinent Occupational Health and Safety Act guidelines when conducting a product trial or evaluation
- Has authority to recommend and initiate preventative and correction action with regard to product non-conformances and quality system activities
- Must be able to travel (ground and air) to support territory responsibilities as well as company-related duties and obligations
- Provide repeat refresher training for new operating room or nursing staff hires on the safe and effective use of Stryker products
- Must be available for after-hours operating room support as communicated by customers
- Other duties as assigned by Manager
**What you need**:
- College diploma in Nursing (Operating Room Nursing Program preferred)
- 2-5 years experience in an operating room setting
- In-field experience with hands-on educating, leading and teaching newly hired nursing staff
- Internal applicants with an equivalent combination of education, experience and performance over time at Stryker will be considered
