In addition, The MRG Group owns and operates an events business, travel company, digital publication, and ticketing service Admit One. In 2021, the business expanded its presence into the US, signing its first venue deals with properties in New York and California later that year. Reporting to the Head of People & Culture you will partner with our People & Culture leaders to drive and support the growth of an incredible team.

**The Role**
- **Team Leadership & Culture Advocacy**:Champions teamwork, inclusiveness, mutual respect, and professionalism, cultivating a culture of collaboration and respect within teams.
- **Recruitment Support**: Assist in writing job descriptions, screen resumes and facilitate the hiring and onboarding process. Addresses staffing needs in collaboration with managers and operators.
- **Payroll**:Work collaboratively with the Finance team to facilitate biweekly payroll through ADP Workforce Now.
- **HRIS Management**:Maintain Human Resources records and support employees with process and systems questions pertaining to BambooHR.
- **Employee Management Support & Advisory**: Acts as a point of contact for HR inquiries and issues, providing guidance and support to both hourly and salary employees and managers. Advising people managers on policies, procedures in the day to day (ex. write ups, terminations, vacation accruals, sick days/bereavement).
- **Process Improvement**: Introduces new processes and systems in consultation with the Manager, People & Culture to advance HR operations.
- **Employee Engagement and Company Wide Initiatives**: brainstorming and supporting new programs, policies and procedures ensuring its adherence to ESA, Human Rights code, WSIB/WSB and AODA, partnering with people managers and department heads to execute HR programs. Support in creating company wide initiatives and actions derived from Employee Engagement and Satisfaction surveys and Net Promoter Scores.

**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities**
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a similar role
- Professional CHRP/CPHR designation considered an asset
- Excellent attention to detail with a passion for creating Positive Shareable Experiences
- Strong problem solving skills
- Effectively communicate orally and in writing
- A proven track record for making significant contributions to a growing business and working collaboratively with leaders to deliver results
- Ability to maneuver in an evolving environment and adjust to changing priorities
- Demonstrated ability to hire, retain, and engage team members
- Must exhibit a high degree of professionalism (i.e. punctuality, commitment to the job, well-groomed, mannerly, great teamwork etc.)

**Terms & Expectations**
