As a Game Artist, you will be responsible for creating visually stunning and immersive artwork that brings our games to life. This role involves collaborating with various teams to design and produce captivating visuals that enhance the overall gaming experience.

**Responsibilities**:

- Create high-quality, visually appealing artwork, including characters, environments, and props, that align with the game's artistic vision.
- Collaborate with game designers, developers, and other artists to ensure cohesive and engaging visual elements.
- Develop concept art, storyboards, and prototypes to visualize and iterate on game ideas.
- Design and animate 2D and 3D assets, ensuring they meet technical requirements and are optimized for performance.
- Maintain a consistent art style throughout the game, adhering to the established visual direction.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and provide creative input to enhance the overall game design.
- Manage multiple tasks and projects, ensuring timely delivery of all visual assets.
- Review and provide feedback on artwork created by other team members to ensure high-quality standards are met.
- Work closely with the production team to ensure all art assets are integrated smoothly into the game engine.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve and innovate in game art production.

**Job Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Animation, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Game Artist or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design and animation software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Autodesk Maya, Blender, and Unity.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of high-quality game art, including character designs, environment art, and animations.
- Excellent understanding of color theory, composition, and visual storytelling.
- Experience with 2D and 3D animation techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to articulate visual concepts effectively.
- Must be located in or willing to relocate to Edmonton, Alberta.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience in the children’s entertainment or educational gaming industry.
- Knowledge of game development pipelines and workflows.
- Familiarity with scripting languages and game engine integration.
- Understanding of UX/UI design principles for games.
