**Job Description**:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate clinical nutritionist to join Dr. Goodenowe's healthcare team in Moose Jaw, SK. Dr. Goodenowe is a California based company that has expanded into Saskatchewan as Canada's first Perpetual Health Facility. We are focused on managing Alzheimer's, Dementia, ALS, MS and other age related illnesses, plus a wide variety of other challenging diseases.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments of patients, including medical history, dietary habits, and lifestyle factors.
2. Develop personalized nutrition plans based on individual needs, health goals, and medical conditions.
3. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition therapy, making adjustments as needed.
4. Provide counseling and education to patients on the importance of nutrition in maintaining health and managing disease.
5. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, such as physicians and dietitians, to ensure coordinated care for patients.
6. Stay current with emerging research and trends in clinical nutrition to provide evidence-based recommendations. Including, Dr. Goodenowe Research team.
7. Document patient assessments, recommendations, and progress notes in electronic health records.
8. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of nutrition-related policies and programs.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field.
2. Certification as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) preferred.
3. Clinical experience in a healthcare setting, working with patients of all ages and diverse backgrounds.
4. Strong communication skills and ability to effectively educate and motivate patients to make healthy lifestyle changes.
5. Knowledge of medical nutrition therapy for chronic diseases, such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and obesity.
6. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
7. Proficiency in using nutrition assessment tools, dietary software, and electronic health records.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
