Learning & Development Specialist : Instructional Design

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- Develop Interactive Learning Tools: Translate learning needs into interactive learning tools, including eLearning modules, job aides, group workshops, and one-on-one training sessions. Design these tools to support Branch Administrative staff in their roles.
- Create High-Quality Learning Content: Support the Learning and Development team in developing high-quality learning content tailored to the audience's needs. Utilize adult learning principles, instructional design theories, and industry best practices to create engaging and effective educational materials.
- Facilitate Workshops: Assist the Learning and Development team by facilitating workshops and training sessions. Use strong facilitation skills to engage participants and ensure that learning objectives are met.
- Support the Branch Advisory Team: Collaborate with the Branch Advisory team to develop branch-specific learning modules and job aids. Ensure that these resources address the unique needs of each branch and support their operational goals.
- Support the Project Team: Work collaboratively with the Project Team to create project-specific learning materials. Ensure that these materials are aligned with project goals and help staff effectively implement new processes and systems.
- Utilize Subject Matter Experts: Collaborate with the Learning and Development team and other departments to leverage their expertise in creating content for staff in scheduling, customer service, and relationship management.
- Help Develop Train-the-Trainer Program: Assist in the creation and implementation of a train-the-trainer program to equip branch staff with the skills needed to train others within the organization.
- Facilitate Train-the-Trainer Sessions: Support the facilitation of train-the-trainer sessions to ensure consistent and effective delivery of training across the organization.
- Champion a Culture of Learning: Promote the use of adult learning principles and train-the-trainer approaches to enhance the skills and knowledge of employees.
- Travel Requirements: Travel to NSC and the branches to provide on-site training and support.
**Other Responsibilities**
- Participate in ongoing internal and/or external continuing education activities.
- Adhere to Bayshore Policies and Procedures.
- Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives in keeping with the company's Quality Management System.
- Participates in proactive Health & Safety activities while performing all duties. Is responsible to notify immediate Supervisor of any Health & Safety risks or concerns.
- Maintains confidentiality of client and corporate information in accordance with Bayshore policies
- Complete other tasks as requested.
**Reporting Relationship**
The Learning and Development Specialist: Instructional Designer reports to the Manager Learning and Development.
Job Qualification
**Education**
- An academic credential in Instructional Design, Adult Learning, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Proven experience in developing and delivering training programs, particularly those focused on customer service and relationship management.
**Experience**
- Proficiency in e-learning tools such as Articulate 360 and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- In-depth knowledge of instructional design theories and adult learning principles.
- Skilled in creating interactive and engaging learning materials that meet the needs of diverse audiences.
- Strong facilitation skills to effectively lead workshops and training sessions.
- Previous experience in a similar role within a healthcare or home care setting is highly desirable.
- Willingness to travel to support learning initiatives across different branches.
