Chalkers is a laid back and lively bar-restaurant that serves food and alcohol. We host events now and then including live music. Located at 247 Marlee Ave, close to Yorkdale mall. Free parking and easily accessible by TTC via subway.

**Manager Responsibilities**

include, but are not limited to:

- Handle day to day operations
- Manage staff (e.g. create employee schedule, training, supervising)
- Planning and overseeing events (parties, corporate events)
- Handling customer complaints
- Collaborate with vendors, customers, and other staff
- Maintain and order inventory as needed

**Server/Bartender Responsibilities/Skills**

include, but are not limited to:

- Prepare restaurant tables with attention to sanitation and order
- Collaborate with other servers and kitchen/bar staff
- Present restaurant menus and help customers select food/beverages
- Take/serve orders and answer questions
- Comply with all health, safety and hygiene standards and policies
- Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
- Lift up to 25 lbs (e.g. alcohol boxes, food, etc.)

**Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements**:

- High school diploma or GED
- SMART serve certified
- Prior experience working in a bar or restaurant
- Supervisory experience.

Associate’s degree or higher in hotel and restaurant management (preferred, not required)

Familiarity with using POS systems (PixelPoint POS preferred, not required)
- Excellent leadership skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills (e.g. friendly, approachable)
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Calm under pressure
- Ability to deescalate tense interactions
- Responsible, problem solver, positive attitude, quick learner

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $18 per hour plus tips
