Principal Contaminated Sites Specialist

**A day in the life**:
- **You **are a champion of Health & Safety initiatives, being an ambassador for our Zero Harm safety culture - this is always your top priority, as it is ours

- **You **are a senior leader, working with the BC team to win work, where you will lead, plan and execute projects at contaminated sites for a wide range of sectors including mining, oil and gas, transportation, and government agencies
- **You **have diverse fieldwork experience, and project management expertise, and want to share your knowledge to mentor others, providing guidance and technical advice to foster and develop the BC team

- **You **work closely with various practitioners including our Contaminated Sites Approved Professionals, and have access to a team with deep technical knowledge and expertise
- **You **direct projects from proposal to implementation, including proposal preparation, contract review, project delivery, financial control, and client relationship management to ensure deliverables meet client expectations for scope, budget, schedule, and quality
- **You **have excellent interpersonal skills that you will leverage to empower your colleagues
- **You **are well-supported by your colleagues from various disciplines and levels, helping you be successful in reaching your personal and project goals

**What You'll Bring To WSP**
- **You **have a positive and enthusiastic can-do attitude, and a willingness to both learn and share your knowledge
- **You **are self-motivated, willing to be flexible and nimble, and able to think outside the box
- **You **have at least a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geoscience, Biology, or related discipline
- **You **have a minimum of 10-15 years of experience in environmental consulting
- **You **have a relevant professional designation registered in BC such as a P.Eng., P.Geo., P.Ag., P.Chem., or an R.P.Bio.
- **You **are (or interested/eligible to become) a member of the Society of Contaminated Sites Approved Professionals of British Columbia
- **You **have proven experience in providing technical and regulatory advice to clients and completing senior review of project deliverables
- **You **have a demonstrated ability to lead a project team of professionals with excellent communication skills both internally with staff and externally with clients
- **You **have a clean Driver’s Abstract, and are willing to travel on occasion
**Compensation**
Expected Salary (British Columbia)**:$122,500 to $168,500**
