We are currently seeking a Full-Time Safety Management System (SMS) Administrator to join our team at our Vancouver, BC Base.

Reporting to the Safety Management System (SMS) Manager, the SMS Administrator will facilitate the development and ongoing maintenance of the company Safety Management System and conduct systematic quality checks to ensure that the elements of the SMS are applied as required within the company.
- Maintain the company’s SMS reporting system in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Actively collect, track, and report safety trends to the SMS Manager.
- Identify safety risks based on SMS data and provide analysis on the effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Attend meetings, prepare, and distribute agendas, reports, minutes, and safety materials.
- Identify hazards and carry out risk management analyses of those hazards.
- Monitor the concerns of the civil aviation industry in respect of safety and their perceived effect on the operator.
- Support the Occupational Health and Safety in an administrative capacity under the supervision of the SMS Manager.
- Clear, effective communication with Department Managers and other departments as it relates to safety management and corrective action.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
- Other duties as assigned, by the SMS Manager, Director of Flight Operations, and/or Director of Maintenance.

**Job Requirements and Qualifications**
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an aviation environment.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Safety Management System (SMS) support and/or SMS leadership role.
- Experience using Adobe Pro
- Excellent and effective verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to pay strict attention to detail.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to work proactively and independently.
- Positive attitude with the ability to be flexible.
- Proactive and diligent approach in supporting change management.
- Promote the company’s Safety Culture at all times.
