- Responsible for opening and/ or closing shop
- Receive incoming stock on a timely basis
- Inventory control processes as directed by shop manager
- Providing assistance to volunteers at either the cash desk or back desk as required
- Sustaining good working relations with all gift shop volunteers
- Training new volunteers on the point of sale system
- Ensuring that policies of the shop are followed at all times
- Keeping merchandise replenished and tidy
- Resolve customer complaints where applicable
- Lead by example
- Other duties as required
- Experience in the wholesale/retail industry is preferable
- Knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and other related systems. Comfortable with learning systems and generating reports.
- Able to work in a team as well as independently.-
