Purpose of Position

The Scheduler will ensure that the Full Time and Part time schedules are accurate and published to staff a minimum one month in advance. They will also be required to communicate workforce planning challenges such as insufficient coverage due to time of requests or part time availabilities that do not meet agency needs.

**Responsibilities**:

- Completing schedules in a timely matter and published by due dates.
- Ensure accuracy of schedules
- Ensure last minute coverage needs are adequately addressed
- Ensure all policies and processes are upheld
- Expert in navigating all scheduling functions within the Payworks scheduling system.
- Maintain accurate data in weekly and monthly schedules. Post these where required by the deadline assigned to the task.
- Track all events and trainings that will have an impact on the staff schedules. Note this on the weekly schedules
- Communicate with Managers & Supervisors to ensure that all needs are being met daily
- Support all training schedules (internal/external/mandatory)
- Work with training manager/ People and Culture and other teams as required.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- High School Diploma and Computer Literacy Training plus minimum of 1 year experience in scheduling preferably scheduling which is required for 24/7 operations
- Experienced in using scheduling software
- Familiar with Payworks software
- Familiarity with computer systems, particularly scheduling systems would be an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills are required.
