**Responsibilities**:
PRIMARY PURPOSE

The Continuous Improvement Lead role ensures effective implementation of continuous improvement projects and initiatives including research, assisting with the initiative plans, monitoring of deliverables, and ensuring all project support activities are performed effectively to CMBC’s maintenance improvement department and maintenance teams. It also includes integration of the CMBC’s continuous improvement goals, focused on safety and state of good repair and alignment with TL continuous improvement team’s operational excellence.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Supports the development of strategic initiatives and transformative programs that are complex in scope, impact, and diversity of stakeholders with significant long-term importance and consequence to the CMBC Maintenance Division’s goals.

Engages with different level of stakeholders across all CMBC facilities to strategically identify areas of improvement, process streamlining opportunities and opportunities to reduce waste and inefficiencies. Streamline Management’s attention by prioritizing key opportunities and assist in resource planning of initiatives to meet objectives.

Leads project planning and initiatives, provides solutions, develops, and executes identified goals, priorities, and objectives for the assigned area, from inception through completion, in keeping with the strategic directions set by the CMBC senior leadership.

Manages action, adjusts plans, recommends appropriate process enhancements, and makes decisions based on analytical findings; develops and presents reports and presentations to Senior Leadership. Responsible for ensuring that projects are in sync with CMBC's overall strategy. Escalates critical problems with higher complexity to the Senior Manager, Maintenance Engineering, and Improvement.

Leads and facilitate meetings and working sessions with cross-functional stakeholders to identify, own and implement initiatives that improve operational processes all the way through sustained benefits realization to increase quality and performance. Hold team members accountable for the successful implementation of initiatives that drives our broader business transformation.

Develops and deliver organizational change management activities to equip employees with the skills and knowledge needed to implement changes effectively.

Leads cross-functional stakeholder teams to define/measure, analyze, improve, and implement multiple process improvements.

Conducts research and analysis for the preparation of planned initiatives, prepares statues reports, maintains the Gantt chart and project plan.

Establish and supervise Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of performance improvement initiatives. Generate management reporting and dashboards to provide insight into progress and results that provides sustainment to improvements initiatives.

Supports and nurtures a continuous improvement culture and provide mentoring and coaching to staff and management. Liaise with TransLink’s Continuous Improvement Principal Consultant and Leads and act as the mentor and coach for CMBC applicants taking TransLink Enterprise Lean Academy.

**Qualifications**:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related discipline plus at least five (5) years of Lean/Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement experience in business process improvement projects, events or initiatives in large, complex organizations, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Experienced in Lean Manufacturing or related field, preferably in Visual Controls, RACI process, Standard Work and Problem Solving.

Experienced in waste reduction, standardized work, one-piece flow, just in time production, 5s, trying to keep WIP to a minimum, inventory reduction, etc.
