- Experience volunteering in summer camps or similar is a plus.

**Job Description**:
The Camp Leaders (CL) are responsible for planning, developing and delivering the camp programs and activities of the Summer Camp. They are responsible to prepare ahead of time their 8-week plan for their assigned station. Each CL will be assigned one of the different stations: Spiritual, Hymns, Project, Arts and Crafts, Themes, Gym. This plan must be submitted to and approved by the Camp Coordinator who will support the CL in their day-to-day tasks. The CLs are responsible for the well-being and safety of Campers during the different activities, as well as for creating a safe, fun, and rewarding environment for them.

**Responsibilities**:

- Welcome and greet Campers and their parents/guardians daily with a smile and create for them a positive environment.
- Prepare ahead of time all content and materials needed to welcome each group.
- Cater the content of their prepared material for the ages of each group.
- Determine and request approval for program supplies and equipment.
- Purchase program supplies after receiving approval from the Camp Director and Camp Coordinator.
- Manage the classroom behavior of the Campers through the help of the Camp Monitors.
- Work alongside the Camp Director, and under the guidance of the Camp Coordinator to succeed as best as possible to engage the Campers positively.
- Think outside the box to create the most enriching experience for our Campers.
- Explain facility rules and safety procedures.
- Setup and take-down of camp equipment each day.
- Demonstrate the use of equipment to Campers.
- Supervise the proper use of equipment by Campers.
- Explain the rules of the games and activities and divide campers into teams.
- Promote participation and encourage teamwork among campers.
- Supervise the proper development of the activities.
- Provide encouragement and support to each camper.
- Encourage positive behaviour and be proactive in dealing with behaviour challenges.
- Ensure that a clean, organized and safe environment is maintained at all times.
- Sanitize stations and equipment.
- Serve as role model in maintaining hygiene and cleanliness, punctuality, sharing clean up duties, sportsmanship and good manners.
- Monitor the Campers alongside Camp Monitors during field trips and other dedicated times where the groups are all together, to ensure their safety at all times.
- Camp Leaders may be asked to assist with the supervision of Campers for early drop offs and late pickups upon rotation with other staff.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures of the Camp.
- Be aware of Campers’ dietary/medical needs and, if authorized, distribute medication under standard procedures under the supervision and direction of the Camp Coordinator.
- Communicate any incidents or concerns immediately to the Camp Coordinator.
- Complete incident reports as needed.
- Assess emergencies in a timely manner and inform the Camp Coordinator immediately.
- Administer first aid when necessary.
- Contact medical assistance when required.
- Remain flexible and willing to learn new skills.
- Attend meetings and services as scheduled.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal

**Salary**: $18.00 per hour
