**THE OPPORTUNITY**
- Load and unload product into designated smokehouses
- Operate and monitor smokehouses including selecting programs, verifying performance, making program adjustments, and responding to alerts
- Complete all required CCP checks on product and document appropriately
- Assess and plan cooling and drying room locations for completed product
- Cleaning Smokehouses following CIP (clean in place) process
- Clean smokehouse generators using high pressure water hose
- Monitor and replenish woodchips into generators when required
- Troubleshoot smokehouses, make minor adjustments and notify maintenance for unresolved equipment issues
- Responsible for maintaining food safety standards in work responsibilities and report food safety issues to QA immediately
- Work in a safe manner in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act by reporting all hazards, accidents, incidents or near misses to the Supervisor
- Follow all prescribed SOPs, rotation schedules, HACCP and GMP procedures
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
**THE REQUIREMENTS**
- Excellent communication skills; verbal and written
- Physically fit; able to lift 60LBS, able to walk and stand for the entire shift
- Basic mathematical skills and computer skills
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be mechanically inclined
- Ability to work effectively both as an individual and a team member
- Ability to work in a cold environment
- Must have good organizational and problem-solving skills
- Experience in food manufacturing preferred
