We are looking for a self-motivated individual that is looking for a fulfilling career opportunity in the home medical equipment industry as a Power Mobility Repair Technician at our high-volume **Edmonton** location. The Power Mobility Technician will be responsible for providing repair, maintenance and set up for all power related equipment (e.g. Battery-powered wheelchairs, mobility scooters, patient-handling lifters and lift chairs, etc.)**.**

This individual should be comfortable dealing with vulnerable people that have various special needs and be empathetic to their circumstances. - Mechanical and electronic aptitude
- Use of manual and power tools
- Working knowledge of digital multimeter (DMM)
- Some fabricating skill may be required on items unique to the medical equipment industry
- Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical assemblies
- Technical and mechanical experience required including use of power tools
- Complete understanding of electronics, wiring and circuit boards
- Customer service experience an advantage
- Clean Alberta Driver’s abstract and valid driver’s license

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure manufacturer’s guidelines and specifications are adhered to and that the equipment is safe to operate
- Maintain, clean, disinfect and repair equipment when required Set up of new product for customers and the show room
- Inspect and test rental and loaner equipment prior to use by customers
- Set up of new product for customers and the show room
- Complete applicable paperwork such us order forms for parts, quality control checklist and completing work orders to ensure everything is completed on the equipment
- Ongoing restocking of supported parts as needed
- Follow Quality Control check procedures and provide completed checklist to Service Writer
- Keep work area clean and free of clutter
- Display respectful behaviour at all times to employees, clients, managers and stakeholders

**Minimum Education and Experience**
- Product knowledge considered an asset
- Knowledge of fasteners, metric and standard thread
- Electronics & mechanical background
- Customer service experience

**Schedule and Compensation**:

- Monday through Friday
- Wage will be based on level of experience as an Power Mobility Technician in the home medical equipment industry.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
