Under the direction of the Web Development Manager, The Database Administrator is responsible for automating, optimizing, and scaling database and processes to support the project teams and the company’s growth.

**Essential Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with Web and IBMi Development Teams to design and develop database
- Collect and document user's requirements
- Develop, implement and document database policies, procedures and standards
- Providing training, feedback, and support to developers on the usage of data provided
- Write scripts related to stored procedures and triggers
- Implement constraints to database
- Document entity relationship diagram
- Manage data backup and recovery plan
- Monitoring and improving performance and data security

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor degree or diploma in a computer discipline or relevant certification
- Experience: 2 or more years in proven working experience as a Database Administrator preferably in DB2
- Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases
- Strong knowledge base of relational database performance and tuning such as: proper use of indices, database statistics/reorgs, de-normalization concepts
- Experience with developing high quality and optimized SQL stored procedures and queries
- Problem solving skills and ability to think algorithmically
- Scripting language experience such as Python and Javascript
- Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
- Strong communication for working with internal and external stakeholders
