**Commodity Manager**

Reporting to the Senior Commodity Manager, the Commodity Manager will be responsible to develop Global Sourcing Strategy for their respective Commodity. They will utilize the Strategic Planning Process to include Market and Demand Analysis; Identify risks and develop contingency plans for suppliers with a global perspective. Through Supplier Selection & Evaluation, TCO, Quality, and CI initiatives they will negotiate to ensure they provide the most competitive advantage for the organization.

**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- Manage spend of approx. $30 Million+ across all vendors by commodity segment.
- Analyze market trends to identify cost drivers, technology trends, new opportunities.
- Develop and execute global sourcing strategy to leverage global spend while maximizing production flexibility and achieve competitive costs.
- Negotiate and develop supplier agreements to reduce lead times, TCO and optimize production capacity.
- Global Supply Risk Management - develop contingency plans for critical parts/suppliers.
- Effective problem solving to ensure a high sense of urgency to work with suppliers to manage risks to production; resource alternatives and mitigate any potential risk.
- Conduct Supplier Assessments (Capacity, Financial, Risk, Logistics, Quality, CI).
- Conduct ongoing market test (RFQ, RFP) to ensure the organization maintains the most competitive position to maximize sales opportunities and continue to ensure brand reputation.
- Manage PPV, cost avoidance to mitigate any market conditions exposure (tariffs, cost increases, surcharges, rebates, certifications, regulatory implications, etc.).
- Work with R&D across all divisions to standardize parts/requirements and optimize supply base.
- Work closely with Procurement Specialist Business Unit lead for all new product launches, manage stage gate timelines to ensure supply chain optimization.
- Work with Quality and Production to ensure no production downtime and maintain continuous supply and quality requirements.

**Education and Experience**:

- College/University with business focus. Recommended SCMP, Degree in Purchasing/Supply Chain or Business.
- 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain within a manufacturing environment; minimum 5 years with Global Sourcing experience.
- Exposure to commodity markets & trends.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills. Strong understanding and ability to read technical drawings.
- Effective time management & resourceful problem-solving skills to mitigate risks.
- Proven ability to achieve cost savings objectives and work collaboratively with all team members to maximize results.
- Ability to summarize strategy into a clear, compelling and concise narrative.
