Procurement Manager

Job Purpose:
As a Procurement Manager, you will play a key role in managing the procurement process for the Materials Department. Your responsibilities will include sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality goods. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a proven track record in procurement.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies, policies, and procedures
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors
- Negotiate contracts, prices, and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement
- Monitor and analyze market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements
- Manage vendor relationships and conduct regular performance evaluations
- Oversee the procurement process from sourcing to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of orders
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier information
**Skills**:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Procurement or Materials Manager, preferably in the pipe fabrication industry.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices
- Ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers to achieve favorable terms and pricing
- Experience in sourcing and purchasing a variety of materials, equipment, or services
- Proficiency in using procurement systems and software
- Excellent vendor management skills, including the ability to build and maintain strong relationships
- Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
