Edmonton, Canada PCM Cougar Machine and Wellhead Full time

This is a full-time, on-site, role for a **Purchasing Specialist** at Cougar Machine in Edmonton, AB. The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for sourcing components required for planned and project demands in a timely manner to ensure schedules are met.

**Qualifications**
- Experience in procurement, purchasing and inventory management
- Ability to negotiate and communicate effectively
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- CPM or APICS certification would be an asset
- Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field is an asset
- 7 years of purchasing or supply chain experience related to manufacturing
- Previous background and experience in a manufacturing / machine shop environment

**Responsibilities**
- Manage procurement orders
- Monitor, expedite, and troubleshoot orders through to completion and update stakeholders as required
- Establish a good working relationship with vendors / suppliers
- Purchase of raw material and finished goods cost effectively
- Purchase goods and services that meet the quantity and quality expectations of the organization
- Track inventory and restock goods when needed
- Consolidate KPI’s and provide reporting at group level
- Monitoring supplier performance and resolving issues and concerns.
- Liaising with internal project teams and maintaining strong supplier relations.

Pay: $60,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
