**Practice Leader, Development**

The Practice Leader, Development, will be responsible for driving the technical direction and delivery of high-quality software solutions that are aligned with the Product’s strategic objectives and roadmap.

**You’ll be responsible for**:

- Leading, mentoring, and motivating a high-performing team of software development practitioners, ensuring alignment with the organization’s objectives, encouraging professional development, and modeling a culture of collaboration, innovation and technical excellence.
- Providing technical leadership and guidance throughout the software development lifecycle, leveraging best practices for continuous improvement.
- Regularly collaborating with business stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical insights.
- Coaching practice members to strive for technical excellence by adhering to approved software development standards, best practices and architectural principles, while minimizing technical debt.
- Ensuring practice members develop T-shaped skillsets with deep domain expertise and complementary skillsets.

**You bring**:

- Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity.
- Proven technical expertise in large scale/enterprise Java product delivery.
- Product specific domain knowledge and experience such as payment systems.
- A strong analytical mindset with the ability to think critically and strategically.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven track record of fostering positive relationships with stakeholders, clients, and team members.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to empower individuals and teams, foster a positive work culture and drive alignment towards common objectives. - Confidence in your ability to communicate detailed information in an impactful way.
- Proactive problem-solving skills with a demonstrated track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with ISO20022 electronic data interchange for financial data standards is desired.
- Interac requires employees to complete a background check that is completed by one of our service providers. We use this service to complete the following checks:_

- _ 5-year employment verification;_
- _ Education verification; and_
