Are you an experienced Security Officer with a valid BC Security Worker’s License looking to work with a dedicated, Vancouver Island-based team?

General Responsibilities:

- Observe, record, and report activities and security incidents while on shift;
- Ensure client property are secure and follow site-specific instructions;
- Conduct foot patrols, including standing and walking for long periods of time;
- Downtown location with constant interactions with the street population;
- Working with a team of trained professionals and volunteers with the same goals and approaches;
- Hands off position with a lot of verbal interactions;

Required Qualifications and Skills:

- A valid BC Security Worker’s License is required;
- Ability to use computers and smartphones with ease;
- Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing;
- Ability to write clear and concise incident reports;
- Must be physically fit with the ability to stand and walk patrols, climb stairs, etc;
- Requires a compassionate approach when interacting with clients
- Conflict resolution and De-escalation skills required Ability to make a difference
