**Job Description Summary**:
This position is responsible for responding to the requirements of the customer (after hours) and coordinates airport operations in between warehouse, customs and customers. The incumbent is also responsible for releasing all live freight via PARS, Cadex, and RMD in a timely manner and attends to all customer service concerns.

**Job Description**:
CUSTOMS RELEASE
- Gathers information, assesses documentation and processes entries for clearance
- Monitors transactions for rejects, acceptance and release
- Records data in broker system and transmits entry to CBSA to obtain release of shipment
- Ensures all data is correct as per documentation/notice from carrier and/or customer
- Responds to all customer queries and provides excellent customer service
- Answers telephone inquiries, collects information, distribute incoming calls to the right personnel

OTHER DUTIES
- Ensures that fax & photocopier printed documents are distributed and properly directed or dealt with
- Maintains a general inventory of supplies and necessities
- Checks all incoming faxes and distributes to the correct department/personnel
- Performs any other duties as advised by the Supervisor/Manager

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- High School Diploma required
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a related field of Customs Brokerage and Release
- Ability to understand and interpret documentation related to the Customs Brokerage field.
- Working knowledge of MS Office, Outlook and office equipment (fax machine / photocopiers / printers/scanners), as well as AS 400 system
- Excellent communication, organization, inter-personal, problem solving skills are required
- Ability to interact with a wide range of customers, carriers and brokers

**Salary**: $33,233.00-$41,574.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- customs rating: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Certified Customs Specialist designation (preferred)
