**Summary of Position**
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the McCormick Care Group, a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Director of McCormick Dementia Services is responsible and accountable for:
- Providing leadership and support to two managers, the Day Program Manager and Nursing Care Manager.
- Providing managerial duties and guidance to the Social Workers, RAI-CHA Assessor, and Administrative Assistant within the day program.
- Overall provision of the development, planning and evaluating of all components of McCormick Dementia Services.
- Creating and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with community based health care providers, and representing the organizations at various networks and tables aligned with Ontario Health West.
- Capacity building specifically within regional adult day programs, community support services, and dementia networks.
- Engaging researchers, building relationships, and facilitating research within the day program setting.
- Overall responsibility of promoting and supporting growth of the program to meet the unmet needs of the community.
- Maintaining a successful and productive relationship with Unifor Local 302.
**Background/Qualifications**
- Post-secondary degree in a health-related field and previous experience in the field of dementia care is required
- Three to five years leadership role in the Community Support Services (CSS) sector
- Experience in working with both unionized and non-unionized staff
- Experience in leading a multi-disciplinary team
- Experience in Quality Improvement, Accreditation, committee work and compliance standards
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work constructively with individuals and groups internally as well as external the organizations
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with budgeting and financial management
- Ability to work within a computerized environment, including proficiency in use of the internet and other relevant software programs
