Westvac is has an immediate opening for a highly motivated and dependable, full-time Shipping & Receiving Clerk/General Labourer to join our team at our head office location in Acheson, which hosts a very clean, bright, and new large multi-bay shop. This role is considered entry-level and would be ideal for someone who wants to learn and grow within this specialized industry while using their previous experience in shipping and receiving to pursue a career with Westvac Industrial.
As this position will be based out of our head office in Acheson, it will involve working with our team to support customers throughout all Westvac Industrial locations.

**Duties & Responsibilities of the Role**:

- Assemble containers, crates, boxes and pack goods to be shipped
- Oversee the secure and accurate loading and unloading of deliveries from couriers and delivery trucks.
- Receive and verify deliveries by inspecting all incoming goods against the packing slips
- Unpack and place goods in appropriate storage areas
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment
- Assist parts and service departments as required
- Forklift Operation
- General laborer duties, assist with facility and yard cleanliness and maintenance
- Perform daily parts deliveries and pick-ups when required

**What You Bring Personally**:

- Basic mechanical skills with excellent attention to detail
- A positive, self-starter attitude coupled with an abundance of common sense
- The ability to work independently as well as in a team-based environment
- Able to work in a heavy-duty shop environment and/or outside in the yard

**What Your Experience Brings**:

- Forklift Experience - or willing to train
- Prior use of CDK software/receiving experience
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driver’s abstract
- Safely able to lift 50 lbs.
