**SUMMARY**
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Mixing Leader will provide hands-on leadership on a production shift within the plant to ensure production schedules are met safely & on time within fast-paced manufacturing environment.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Leads by example and fosters an environment of mutual respect and team work among Team Members
- Conduct pre-shift huddles and provides feedback to Production Team Leaders and Production Manager
- Leads, coaches, mentors and trains Mixers, Scalers, and Team Members
- Ensures production schedules are met and all Process and Procedures are being followed in addition to ensuring a fair distribution of tasks exist amongst the mixing team.
- Prepares Mixer and Mixing schedules for the team,
- Checks throughout shift to ensure that proper procedures are being used and quality, /safety standards are being met including compliance to time, temperature and documentation.
- Leads, coaches, mentors and trains Mixers, Scalers, and Team Members as needed
- Ensures that a safe working environment is maintained by enforcing ACE standards and following up on inspections
- Assists in all food safety initiatives, methods and or products, as well as trouble shoot equipment issues.
- Assists Production Leaders and Production Manager in ensuring KPIs are met daily
- Follows and enforce all GMP’s and Safety Procedures as outlined by ACE.
- Prepares ingredients in mixing area per established batch list/schedule, including weighing, measuring & verification Ensures that lot code identification numbers are documented.
- Follows batches with precise measurements to create a very specialized batter.
- Operates mixing machinery/equipment as trained and follow ACE safety guidelines at all times
- Uses a variety of tools (scales, thermometers, knives, etc.) in a safe and efficient manner
- Reports any equipment malfunctions or quality issues to the appropriate parties
- Continues learning of all systems, responsible for ongoing training for all mixers
- Ensures SAP procedures are followed (entering inventory into the system)
- Participates in clean up responsibilities _(must maintain a clean working environment by cleaning the floors and disposing of waste throughout the mixing area) _
- Additional responsibilities may be added to better satisfy needs of the business

**REQUIRED EXPERIENCE**
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Must be a demonstrated leader who easily interacts with others and can lead/motivate a team to meet the demands
- Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication skills, along with simple mathematical abilities
- Ability to manage difficult people and work independently with mínimal supervision
- Accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to detect the presence of a quality issue
- Physically capable of performing the demands of the role
- Flexible to work days, afternoons, nights & weekends if needed
